The horse is always looking at the back of the cart, and I don't how to fix that.  I don't recall having anything to do with that, I don't even remember getting a horse let alone a cart!

Salvum me fac ex omnibus persequentibus me; et libera me. Miserere mihi, Domine. Vide humilitatem meam de inimicis meis.  Respice, et exaudi me, Domine Deus meus. Illumina oculos meos, ne unquam obdormiam in morte. Perfice gressus meos in semitis tuis, ut non moveantur vestigia mea. Ego clamavi, quoniam exaudisti me, Deus. Inclina aurem tuam mihi, et exaudi verba mea. Mirifica misericordias tuas, Domine, qui salvos facis sperantes in te. Custodi me, Domine, ut pupillam oculi. Sub umbra alarum tuarum protege me a facie impiorum qui me afflixerunt.

The Reaction of Chemicals [Tuesday
July 11th, 2006 at 11:59am]
Stop.  Just stop.

Stop martyring yourself.  So you're the "loving" partner of a wacko - so what?  Poor you, why doesn't everyone see how you've sacrificed your very happiness to always *be there.*  They don't have any idea what it's like, do they?  Living with that empty, meaningless rage - all day, every day.

And neither do you.

You're not on the inside, and you have no idea what it's like.

You do it for you, not for love.  You do it so that at the end of the day everyone will pat you on the head and inflate your ego a little more.

There are so many, many, many things that you will never understand.  Tell 'em, Billy...

The world is a vampire, sent to drain
Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames
And what do I get, for my pain?
Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game

Even though I know - I suppose I'll show
All my cool and cold - like old job

Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage

John: Why are we here? Us, humans? I mean there's six billion of us. We're like ants. I mean do we care what ants do, from a moral standpoint?

Jonesy: No. Maybe if you figure it out, you die. You know from a stroke or a heart attack, you just die. Sort of like a promotion.

Black Horses, Cherry Trees, and Benefit Banquets [Thursday
June 29th, 2006 at 11:56pm]

My humblest apologies to those whose forgiveness I cannot possibly accept.  I have been negligent, the world outside this box caught me by the throat and dragged me out into the street.  And a few little things have kept me a very busy girly girl the last few weeks; such as:

She is a Pomeranian.  She is a shithead.  She is a shithead who knows she's the cutest thing on four legs.  She is a very spoiled, very well loved shithead.

For those who know me well...you're not seeing things.  It's not a Mercedes, but it is German!  I guess I'm an Audi girl now.

And stuff like these two (and their siblings, cousins, friends...) have kept me busy.  It is Summer after all.

I know you are all having a fantabulous Summer - I am!

Vroom, vroom

New baby due soon [Wednesday
May 17th, 2006 at 9:48am]

I know, I know...unless you're able to reach me on my cell phone, you probably won't be able to reach me!

I've been so busy!  I never anticipated this either.  May has turned out to be the month of social engagements, every time I turn around there's another function to attend.  Work and play.  And I've been awfully busy getting ready for a new baby.

She's ridiculously cute, right?  And if I think I'm busy now...

Cici [Monday

[ mood | devastated ]

You used to sit in the yard, and look down the street - through all the neighbors yards - and watch those two little girls play.  Longingly...you looked almost sad at times, like something was missing.  We knew you loved kids.  But we would call you, and you would run happy through the yard - chasing after your "big brother."  And a few days later I would catch you...just sitting...watching those two little girls playing...

There must have been some little girl in heaven who needed your love more than we did.  We never knew much of your life before you came to live with us, I only hope that the last three months were happy for you.  We love you and we'll miss you terribly, our little C-Monster.

You'll always be fierce, visciss, and ferociss.

You've got something I need [Friday
April 21st, 2006 at 12:16am]

I rode my bicycle past your window last night
I rollerskated to your door at daylight
It almost seems like you're avoiding me
I'm okay alone but you've got something I need

Well, I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates
You got a brand new key
I think that we should get together and try them on to see

I've been lookin around awhile
you've got something for me
Well, I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates
You got a brand new key

I ride my bike, I rollerskate don't drive no car
Don't go so fast, but I go pretty far
For somebody who don't drive, I've been all around the world
Some people say I've done alright for a girl

I asked your mother if you were at home
She said yes, but that you weren't alone
It almost seems like you're avoiding me
I'm okay alone but you've got something I need

I've got a brand new pair of rollerskates
You got a brand new key
I think that we should get together and try them on to see

(La la la la la, la la la)
Well, I got a brand new pair of rollerskates
You've got a brand new key.

The sky is falling [Wednesday

Heaven on Earth
May 2003

If sometimes it appears that the entire Milky Way Galaxy is raining down on your head, do not despair. It happens twice a day. As the Sun rises in the East, wonders of the night sky become less bright than the sunlight scattered by our own Earth's atmosphere, and so fade from view. They will only rotate back into view when the Earth again eclipses our bright Sun at dusk. This battle between heaven and Earth was captured dramatically in a digitally enhanced double-exposure over the Kofa Mountains in Arizona, USA in 2003 May. Dark dust, millions of stars, and bright glowing red gas highlight the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy, which lies on average thousands of light years behind Earth's mountains.

Thank you, Julian [Monday
April 17th, 2006 at 4:25pm]
Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she’s gone.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds

Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmellow pies,
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,
That grow so incredibly high.

Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you’re gone.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds

Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle,
The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes.
